Ha-Yoon enjoyed the feeling of bliss as she opened her eyes to a new day. She relished the feeling of her head resting on Yi's chest. The night had felt magical, being reborn into her new body and feeling the power it had.
She remembered how electrifying it was to join Yi and Selestra, a concupiscence dance enjoying the taste and feel of one another. Though she had experienced sex before, it was either filled with anger and pain. A disconnect in not being able to experience intimacy.
Flashes of memories went through her mind, men and women who attempted to build a relationship with her when she was an adventurer, but no matter how much they fulfilled every need and want the walls around her was never breached.
There would be flashbacks to being raped by Eric and his underlings, how they laughed and humiliated her for their pleasures. What would keep her up at night, huddling in the corner, was how she would sometimes enjoy the shame.
But inside of that cocoon, Ha-Yoon could hear a voice.
--------------
Ha-Yoon looked back at Yi and saw him looking at her and Selestra. Even though he appeared confident, there was a look of concern in his eyes. She remembered how the way he looked at her with love had always hurt her. It hurt to think how Eric would have Yi killed when Eric found about her growing feelings for Yi. Even though Yi was strong, she feared that he would be murdered by the might of the Empire. THEY would've made sure of it.
Now, as she looked at Yi, Ha-Yoon felt only reassurance flowing out of him and into her. Ha-Yoon knew she was safe to express the buried feelings developed when they were transported to that nightmarish place.
The cylinder door slowly closed, leaving her in a space filled with silence. A sense of weightlessness overcame her as she floated in the air. She was startled due to never experiencing gravity magic, but she understood hovering would be better for them. Placing the pill into her mouth, she swallowed it and thought about Yi.
Closing her eyes, Ha-Yoon felt her body begin to tremble. She remembered what Yi had told her and focused on a single idea, an idea enveloping her only wish.
She wanted to be with him for eternity and desired a body forever useful to him. The memory of him looking down at her, his emotions seen on his face after he had revived her, imprinted in her mind.
Throughout her body, it felt like insects crawled beneath the skin. Ha-Yoon clutched at her arms wanting to tear off the skin, feeling as though her mind was shattering. Not wanting to fail, she focused on how she felt when they walked together in that city. How she felt like a normal woman and not some whore. Even with the building pain, she was still able to smile, the way he made her feel special. Though he was surrounded by beautiful women, it still felt like she was a special part of him. The world seemed to stop for her on that day, nothing mattering outside the two of them.
Tears streamed down her face as the pain increased. Gritting her teeth as she screamed in pain. "Yi..." She thought to herself. The pain never lessened, only intensifying. Not even the torture Eric put her through felt this bad, except the way she felt was completely different.
As she floated in the air, she thought about Yi's arms holding her. She could hear him comforting her, whispering, "Please, it will only be a little longer, my heart."
As if this thought triggered something, she found herself in a dark void floating and no longer inside the chamber. She turned her head around confused. "Yi! Where are you!?" She called into the darkness.
From inside the emptiness, she could hear a clicking noise. She tried to peer into the darkness to search for the sound. "My beautiful daughter." A familiar voice called out to her.
Twisting around, Ha-Yoon saw her mother several feet away. She looked just as Ha-Yoon remembered her. "Mama!" Ha-Yoon cried, reaching out towards the image of her mother.
"You have become such a beautiful woman." Her mother smiled.
"I am sorry for not saving you." Ha-Yoon cried, hoping her mother was in a better place.
Her mother walked towards her. Standing in front of Ha-Yoon, her mother gently placed her hand on Ha-Yoon's cheek. "There is no reason for you to apologize. I am happy you were able to survive."
Her mother's face slowly looked depressed, as she said, "I am sorry I was not there to protect you from such monsters. They hurt my baby girl, who did not even have her mother to protect her."
Ha-Yoon shook her head. "No, mother! I was not strong enough to protect you or everyone else. I only hope mother is happy." She smiled through her tears, not wanting to make her mother sad.
Her mother gently pulled Ha-Yoon closer, hugging her. "Though you had such a horrible experience, I am happy you have found someone."
The feeling of her mother's warm body was something Ha-Yoon missed. She never realized how much she yearned for the way her mother would hold her and read fairy tales at night.
Gripping her tighter, her mother's voice became serious. "This world is scary, and you never know when something will come along to take everything away from you. Do you understand?"
"Yes, mother." Ha-Yoon nodded her head. "I want to become someone able to protect Yi. I want to become the perfect woman, to show him how much I am happy he is in my life." Ha-Yoon answered.
Her mother gently pushed her back. "Daughter, the one thing in this world to fear above all else is the Overflow. If you want to become strong, you need to become something stronger than the entire Overflow."
As Ha-Yoon watched, her mother's face slowly changed. It was no longer the beautiful image of her mother, but a frightening monster beyond anything the Overflow could produce.
Though she was seeing something terrifying, Ha-Yoon didn't feel any fear. Instead, she felt she understood what her mother was saying. Beyond the Overflow, she needed to become a predator to the Overflow. She had to be something those monsters feared, beyond the reach of anything. Images of her and Yi, looking like a happy family with a daughter in her arms came to her mind. Not only did she want to become something powerful, but she also wanted to become something Yi would desire and want to covet.
"Yes, daughter. You understand what is necessary. It will be painful, but you need to concentrate. I will guide you, so you will become what you were always meant to be." Her mother whispered to her.
Her mother then shoved a hand inside of Ha-Yoon's stomach.
Ha-Yoon screamed in agony, looking up towards the uncaring void. Throughout the pain, she kept hearing Yi's voice, "Come back to me."
-----------------
"How are you feeling?" Yi asked her, gently brushing her hair back with his fingers.
She sighed in pleasure at his touch. "Are you asking about last night?" Ha-Yoon grinned at him, lifting her head to see him.
Yi laughed, shaking his head. "I hope last night went well for you. I was talking about your body." He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Have you adjusted?"
Ha-Yoon smiled at him. "I feel a lot better. The things holding me back no longer exist inside of me." She kissed his chest, "Thank you, Master."
He lifted one of his eyebrows, "What brought about this?"
"I feel connected to you, as no human could imagine. While others may have doubts about their purpose in life, I now know mine. I am meant to be yours." She lay her head back onto his chest. "I never knew how amazing it would feel to know why I am here in this world finally." She giggled. "Does that sound silly?" Snuggling up close to him.
"No. Though I have yet to experience such a feeling." He sounded distant.
She lifted her head and stared into his eyes. "I do not know about what causes this pain I feel from you." She put a hand on his chest. "It feels as though you move away from us."
"I am thinking maybe there is no grand purpose, other than what is artificially created. What purpose do I have, to gain these powers to the degree I could do whatever I felt like?" Yi wondered. Confused.
"Master. Though my love for you is vast and boundless, I feel you think too much about things." She sternly said to him.
"Ha-Yoon is right, Master." A voice sounded. Selestra's head rose up from sleeping on Yi's arm. "Even if I do not understand the pain you carry, I feel as though you dwell on things too much. We are not saying being sad is not allowed, for we will always be here for you, but the way you sink into such thoughts is not healthy."
"I did not expect that I was thinking about such things so often." Yi sounded amazed.
"We have seen your expression, and now we know how you feel," Ha-Yoon explained. "Let us move forward and leave behind our negative thoughts. Though we can remember them occasionally, I do not want us to be dragged down by them." She kissed Yi on the chest. "You have us with you now, in addition to everyone else who feels the same."
Yi slowly got out of the bed, materializing clothes for himself. He picked some fruit sitting on top of a table.
"Master, what is the matter?" Selestra asked.
"I think it may be a good idea to take your advice and do something fun. Talking about leaving behind things that depress us, it may be a good idea to do something entertaining."
He snapped his fingers and made a mirror appear. In the mirror, the image of Helania appeared. "Helania, is there anything interesting going on in the world?"
Without needing to look at notes, Helania answered, "There is a substantial military force heading into the human kingdom."
"Hmm... From where does this force originate from?" He asked.
"It is from the Empire."
"Thank you, Helania." He looked towards Ha-Yoon and asked, "Are you interested in having some fun with the Empire?"
Without meaning to, she could feel herself grinning from ear-to-ear. "What do you have in mind?"
"The two of you follow me." He walked out of the room.
Ha-Yoon looked over at Selestra and tilted her head. "What do you think he is talking about?"
Selestra giggled, "I am sure that it will be fun." She quickly bounced out of bed and grabbed some clothes before running after Yi.
Ha-Yoon couldn't help but giggle at the way Selestra looked so excited. The emotion coming off of Yi was mysterious. Getting out of bed, she picked out some clothes and went after the two.
------
As Ha-Yoon walked through the Stronghold, she went past various servants who all inclined their head to her with a smile. It was a peculiar feeling, considering her experience with Anacolis in the past.
She was a little worried about how people would treat her, especially after she poisoned Yi. But from the way everyone was acting, it felt like she was acknowledged as being one of them.
"I had the same feeling when I began spending time inside of the Stronghold," Selestra said to Ha-Yoon, interrupting Ha-Yoon's thought. The two were still in the dark about what Yi wanted to show them as they followed him. "Though Brittany and the others were welcoming, I was nervous about how everyone else would treat me."
She let out a breath of relief. "I expected them to treat me a little coldly, after what I did to Master," Ha-Yoon confessed.
Selestra shook her head. "Queen explained it to me. They can sense a person's loyalty towards Master, so now we have become his creations they have accepted us. Compared to how society is like outside of this city, I have grown to enjoy being here. There is no longer the constant feeling of being betrayed, like inside of the Kingdom. Everyone here treats one another like a giant family, though there are internal competitions, but not malicious like humans are."
"'Like humans are'?" Ha-Yoon grinned.
Selestra shrugged her shoulder, "We no longer belong to the human race, so why can I not be dismissive towards them." She sniffed.
Ha-Yoon giggled. "You're right. I guess I forgot we no longer count as being human."
They walked through a doorway and appeared at the entrance to the Stronghold. As usual, the city was bustling with people going about their daily tasks. A few people saw Yi and them appear out of the Stronghold and began gossiping.
"We seemed to have stirred up some curiosity?" Ha-Yoon looked at Selestra.
"Anyone transported as we did is usually important and work directly with the Lord of Felicitas, which is Yi." Selestra moved closer to Ha-Yoon and whispered, "They do not know Yi is the Lord of Felicitas." She grinned at what she told Ha-Yoon like it was some conspiratorial secret.
"Do people not know that?" She asked, raising both eyebrows.
Selestra nodded as if saying she also couldn't believe it. "He does not want people to know he is the one who created this. It confuses me, but you know our Master and how he leans towards the dramatics."
"I can hear the two of you." Yi groaned at them.
"Yes, Master," Selestra said in a cute voice. They could hear his eyes roll.
Walking through the city, Ha-Yoon enjoyed watching the people. Compared to any place she lived in, the people were welcoming. There were humans and non-humans working together warming her heart.
"My Lady!" A woman ran up to Selestra. "Is that you, my Lady?"
"Yes, Selene." Selestra giggled at the woman's surprised expression.
"I was worried when you stopped coming for your usual meal!" The woman appeared happy to learn Selestra was okay. "My Lady, you look so gorgeous! How did you get such dazzling scales on your skin?"
Selestra twirled to show off her body. "My Master bestowed this body onto me," Selestra explained.
"Your master must be a powerful mage!" The woman exclaimed with wonder.
Winking, Selestra raised a finger to her lips.
Ha-Yoon glanced at Yi, who was pretending like he couldn't hear what Selestra was saying.
Going through the city gates, the guards stationed there saluted Selestra and Yi.
"Even the guards do not know who Yi is. They only salute him because they often see him with Queen and Anacolis." She giggled. "They see me as a Lord-in-training, which is why they saluted me before Yi."
Ha-Yoon stared at Yi's back.
Feeling her looking at him. All he said was, "I just enjoy my privacy."
"Master! I am starting to think you just do not like to take an active roll in the world." Ha-Yoon criticized him.
Yi was silent to her accusation.
She got the impression he knew she was right but was still disinterested in the idea.
As they walked deep into the desert out of sight of the city, Yi looked back at them and grinned. "I assume the two of you are still curious about what we are doing?"
"Master, please stop being so mysterious and tell us!" Selestra stamped her feet. Ha-Yoon was a little jealous about how cute she looked when annoyed.
"To punish Selestra for being so impatient, I am going to give Ha-Yoon her present first." He grinned at Selestra who responded by sticking out her tongue.
Yi smirked and turned towards Ha-Yoon. "Do you feel like something is missing?" Seeing her confused expression, Yi continued, "You developed a special ability, but the problem is not having guidance in using it." Waving his hand, Yi made a small lake appear. "Try dropping some of your blood into the water." He grinned.
Ha-Yoon looked at Yi, trying to guess what was about to happen. Seeing how no additional clues would be provided, she stepped up to the lake and used one of her sharp nails to slice open her palm. She winced but managed to squeeze out some of her blood before it healed.
She looked at Yi with amazement. "Did you want to show me how quickly I heal?" Though she was impressed, Ha-Yoon didn't think such a minor thing deserved so much hype.
Hearing the disappointment in her voice, Yi just pointed towards the water.
Following where Yi was pointing, Ha-Yoon looked back and exclaimed, "What is that?!"
"That is your hidden power."
The three viewed a blob emerging out of the water. Based on how big it was, Ha-Yoon knew it was growing at an extremely rapid pace.
-------
After an hour, standing in the desert, the blob had evolved into a transcendental structure. Ha-Yoon judged it was almost taller than the walls protecting Felicitas.
Spikes and tentacles weaved throughout the gigantic tower of pulsating flesh. It looked as if it was breathing, continuing to grow and develop defensive characteristics.
"Master, what is it?" Selestra asked with wonder.
At the base, the structured quivered before splitting open like a gaping maw. Noxious colored gases billowing out, like fumes originating from a creature's digestive organs. The undulating flesh of the structure and gaseous elements making the entrance appear eldritch.
Ha-Yoon stared at the opening, curious if anything would emerge out of the darkness. It didn't take long before a creature appeared. Larger than the average monster, having a broad snout and spines going along the top of its head. It had a mouth overflowing with jagged teeth.
As it slowly came out from the shadows, Ha-Yoon could see bladed spikes curling forward as if it could slice through unsuspecting prey. Looking back and forth, the creature sniffed the air and glanced at the three. Once its eyes landed on Ha-Yoon, it shrieked into the sky before charging towards her.
Ha-Yoon instinctively took a step back, as she saw it charged. When the creature was almost on top of her, she was startled when it stopped and sat down. It made quick shrieking and growling noises while looking happy sitting there.
She looked at Yi as if asking, "What does it want?"
"This creature is a part of you. With your blood, more structures can be created, pouring out with varying offsprings. The lifeforms will gather material to help in improving itself. These beings can use almost anything to begin forming themselves, and depending on the resources their appearance will change." Yi explained to her.
"I can sense this creature." Ha-Yoon turned to look at Yi. "It feels eager, happy, and loyal," Ha-Yoon exclaimed in wonder, looking at the massive beast. It's nightmarish appearance giving a comforting feeling.
Yi nodded his head. "Yes, they will move to your will. With this, you need not fear any being. Neither a single person or an entire nation." He smiled at her.
Ha-Yoon felt herself getting choked up, tears beginning to form.
Selestra went over to her and gave a hug, saying, "I am so happy for you!" Looking to Yi, Selestra asked, "Where is my gift?" She looked excited after seeing what Ha-Yoon received.
Yi placed a hand on his chin and pretended to think. "I am unsure whether I should show you after the way you stuck out your tongue." He teased.
Ha-Yoon covered her mouth with her hand, trying to hide the grin on her face.
"Master! That is not fair! Selestra is a good girl!" She complained. Her mouth pouted, making her face look like it would break into tears.
"I guess I can be nice this one time." Yi sighed dramatically.
"Really?! I love you so much, Master!" She ran up to him and gave him a big hug, burying her head into his shoulder. "What is my present?" She asked while resting her head on his shoulder, clinging onto him.
Yi raised a finger to his lips, whispering, "If you are quiet, you will find out."
Selestra quickly went silent as she looked around, the smile on her face clearly showing how much she was looking forward to his gift. Her hair flowed in the air from her head looking around so much.
A minute passed by with nothing happening. When Selestra looked to Yi to comment, they heard a roar. They looked up and saw a dark shadow looming over them. As the shadow grew, Ha-Yoon realized they were looking at an enormous dragon beyond anything ever recorded in the history books.
The dragon looked like it was going to crash into the ground, though by the size of it she didn't think it would do it any harm. Just as it was about to land, the dragon opened wings, blotting out the sky, and flapped them. Hurricane winds blew across the desert.
Ha-Yoon closed her eyes, turning away to avoid the sandstorm. The grains of sandblasting her skin.
Selestra squealed in excitement.
Once Ha-Yoon could open her eyes, she saw Selestra running towards the dragon. The sun returned as the dragon folded its wings. It looked at Selestra with the cold indifference of a dragon.
When Selestra approached it, she stood in front of it like a child staring at a wild animal. At first, the dragon ignored her, but after sensing something, it lowered its head. When it was close enough, Selestra hugged it on its nose.
Ha-Yoon was surprised when the dragon closed its eyes and made a rumbling noise. The sound familiar to most household pets that nobles kept around them.
Selestra looked back at Yi and said, "Master! I think it likes me!" She ran back to Yi and hugged him. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Master!" She sounded like a child who got the gift they wanted from their parents.
Yi placed a hand on her head and petted it. "I am happy you enjoy your gift. Make sure you take care of it. It has a few secrets, so maybe if you get to know it better, you will learn some of them." He sounded happy that Selestra enjoyed what he gave her.
-----
Several days after they received their gifts from Yi, Ha-Yoon enjoyed the feeling of the wind on her face as she flew through the sky. The air streamed through her hair, which she found out changed colors based on her mood.
It was currently a pink color, reflecting the mood she felt while flying through the sky. Next to her were several flying creatures the nest had created. She called them Reapers. Naming their species with a sinister name, considering she wanted them to overpower everything like death itself.
In addition to the first nest she created, there were several additional structures. Each one with Reapers born to gather materials like the sand in the desert.
She was ecstatic when there was a flying type. The creature looked like a ghoulish snake with wings and two arms, ending in clawed hands. The head looked similar to an insect with horns jutting out of its skull. It was a terrifying creature to look at.
When they first emerged, they flew over to Ha-Yoon and made cooing noises at her. They acted like giant babies enjoying the attention they received from her. She giggled as several of them licked her face.
Below she could watch a moving swarm of her ground Reaplings, running on the surface looking like a tidal wave of death. She couldn't help but fondly smile as she watched her babies trailing after her.
A roar made her turn her head and watch Selestra commanding the dragon to move faster. She also looked as if she was having the time of her life. Between the two of them was Yi with extensive batwings on him, allowing him to cut through the air with ease.
She thought he looked rather sexy with wings, giving him a dark lord look. Ha-Yoon imagined playing the innocent princess being captured by the dark lord when she was with Yi in his bedchamber. She blushed thinking about how she would pretend to escape from him, and call out for help as he ravaged her. It made her remember the way he felt inside, followed by the warm viscous sensation. She pressed her hand to her belly and imagined something growing inside of her.
As she looked up, the clouds parted and showed a mass of soldiers marching into the Kingdom. They looked well organized, in rows, sectioned into distinct groups.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are. I know, I know, you are not very far." She giggled to herself, grinning viciously at the oblivious prey.
